- 12 slices white bread without skin
- 500 cc milk
- 1 / 2 tsp ground pepper
- 75 g onion, chopped
- 150 g bacon, chopped
- 50 ounces grated cheese, for sprinkling
- Salt if necessary
Arrange bread on a heat resistant dish that has been spread with butter / margarine. Stir all ingredients until blended. Pour over bread, sprinkle with remaining grated cheese. Bake until cooked through and browned. Serve hot.
